The 5th edition of the GCA Mentoring Programme (2017-2018) is open!
THE GCA MENTORING PROGRAMME: What is it about?
You know that often it’s not the answers but the questions which make you grow. That’s what the Global Campus Alumni (GCA) Mentoring Programme is about. It connects alumni one-on-one for support, advice and the exchange of fresh ideas. Since 2012, over 250 people have participated and benefited from the experience, as mentors and mentees.
If you need guidance on your professional and personal choices, if you’d like to build on your coaching skills, or support fellow alumni to fulfil their potential, register as a Mentor or Mentee in the GCA Mentoring Programme.
Who can participate?
Any professional with relevant background and an interest in human rights can become a Mentor, but you have to be a Global Campus Alumni (GCA) to become a Mentee. The Global Campus Mentoring Programme is free for participants and is coordinated by the GCA Mentoring Task Force, composed by members of the different GCA regional Associations.
What can you expect?
In this edition, the features of the Programme have been changed to adapt it to the needs and preferences of its participants according to the recommendations received throughout previous editions. How does it work now?
• Once registered, you will be able to access a pool of alumni, where mentors and mentees will be able look at each other´s profiles, reach out to each other and find a suitable match according to their own needs, expectations and availability.
• Couples will have the chance to sign a Mentoring Agreement to formalize their mentoring relation. Through the Mentoring Agreement, couples will be able to access support and follow-up by the Mentoring Task Force, and will be awarded a diploma at the end of their experience.
Further collaboration and exchange
Participants to the programme will be able to access peer support through an online forum on the GCA website and will receive updates about good practices as well as links to useful resources. Upon submission of a mentoring agreement and a report, participants will also receive a certificate.
